Soniya Ahmed was born in Kurdistan, Sulimani and raised in the Uk. Soniya studied Fine Art at Goldsmith's University of London as well as a Masters at University of Glasgow specialising in Art and philosophy. Soniya  started her art journey from a very young age. The subjects of her work are mainly inspired by personal theme, her paintings are based on Metaphysical Cultural existence and being. Being, knowing, identity, time, space and existence are the centre of soniya’s paintings. She express her cultural background in a space outside of reality but still part of existent, through metaphysical art and mythological beings . Soniya work with oil, acrylic and digital art.
